November 5th Scared Pets
People in Wales have come up with a way to calm pets down during the firework season. The question that should be asked is, is this really going to help the dog or make it even worse than it was in the first place. As well as this, can it be classed as cruelty to animals?
The CD
The CD is offered to anyone wishing to purchase it and is supposed to get animals used to the really lous noises. The sounds that can be found on the CD are gunfire, thunder clashes, vacuum cleaners and the very strange baby’s cry. It would seem like the one thing that the dog is more scared of, the fireworks is actually not even on the disc.
The experts are apparently saying that you can leave this CD playing when you are out of the house to play constantly. So instead of the Pet being scared just a couple of nights a year you can do it to them for a few weeks before hands, great one.
To me it sounds like the company behind this are trying to make a bit of money on the side by taking gulliable pet owners for a ride. Apprently the truth is that pets should not be soothed and looked after when they are scared, no they should learn their lessons and be shown that there is nothing to be afraid of.
Is this the way be should treat human beings?
Lets point a gun at someone and threaten to shoot them, when they are trembling in fear lets not stop lets carry it on some more to stop them from being scared.
The vet behind this idea is wrong, it is as simple as that. The best advice is to do it your own way, do not listen to one way of thinking. Do what we do in our house, bring the dog upstairs for one night, they feel a lot more comfortable around their owners and will not be scared in anyway.
Wales in general is actually a really nice place to visit so why not take one of those family days out to there. family holidays UK is yet another option to take when it comes to visiting Wales.
